Remember those gorgeous photos that we shared of Bailey & Nathan's wedding a couple of months ago? Well, D Weddings featured their big day in their September issue - so, our ceremony program made the cut. The invitations were created by the ever-so-lovely Rifle Paper Co., and our kraft paper accordion programs (bottom left) fit right in.

kappa tablescapes in dallas
Libby & I were so excited and honored to partner with our floral friends at Stems of Dallas to create a table for the 2011 Kappa Tablescapes event this week. The event benefits community non-profits, and we were thrilled to be a part of the stellar group of designers, florists and event planners who participated.
Here is a look at our soft-autumn-vintage table.

Tyler Branch Photo
I just stumbled upon his blog, but I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the work Tyler Branch Photo. [click to check it out and to find tons of wedding inspiration!]
I am also fascinated by this english countryside wedding. Its like a modern-day version of the wedding of Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet. Pretty idyllic. Amazing photos.

americana wear
I know that this is a few days late, but Libby and I were both out of town for Independence Day (out of the country, no less).... I just saw this cute Lauren Moffatt dress, and I have to say that this might be the cutest 4th of July dress I've ever seen. Parades, fireworks, bbq's and all, this dress would be perfect.

Libby + Ben in The Knot!
Libby & Ben's stunning wedding (which took place exactly one year ago - Happy Anniversary!) is featured in this month's The Knot magazine AND online!
As her friend and business partner, I can brag on her for just a minute - Libby has such a good eye for beautiful and extraordinary details. Think soft, peachy flowers in vintage bottles atop rustic wood disks, old-timey suspenders, airy poms delicately strung behind the alter, wooden ceremony programs, invitations delivered in hand-stamped burlap pouches and a get-you-off-your-feet fun band perched on a dance floor overlooking the lake. Basically, it was a night to remember.
Photography by Brandon Kidd Photography (from Anaheim, California); floral design by Kate & Katy of Stems of Dallas; stationery by Frontier Paper Co., of course.

Katie Norris Portrait Arts: Bailey + Nathan
We had the pleasure of creating an out-of-the-ordinary wedding program for Bailey and Nathan, a sweet couple with a definite eye for modern vintage style. Their invitation suite was by the famed Anna Bond of Rifle Paper Co., so we were thrilled to step in for the program.
Katie Norris of Katie Norris Portrait Arts let us use some of her photos to showcase this fantastic wedding. How beautifully this wedding came together!

We're in the news!
We're so excited about a little shout out featured in Dallas Morning News' Park Cities Blog today. We worked on an invitation for a reception at the home of President & Mrs. Bush last week in honor of the new Teach for America teachers in the area. One of the teachers tweeted the photo below. We were honored to be involved....

the sparrow fund
Libby and I are excited to help spread the word about The Sparrow Fund, an organization that equips families spiritually, physically and financially who are lead to adopt a child. The process of adoption can often be tedious, long, and expensive, so The Sparrow Fund steps in to walk alongside families and to make the process easier. Their programs and grants have changed the lives of so many little ones and their new families.
Frontier Paper Company will be donating 10% of our May sales to The Sparrow Fund, so, if you have an upcoming event or gift-giving occasion, this would be the perfect time to place an order and share in supporting a fantastic cause. Or, you can donate directly to the organization by visiting their site.
Libby said it well: "we're all adopted children of our Heavenly Father, so we're excited to celebrate this special love by partnering with The Sparrow Fund."

Shannon Eddings Interior Consulting
Libby & I have a sweet friend Shannon who is incredibly talented... in so many ways. She is an illustrator, stationer, & designer, AND she has recently launched a new venture - Shannon Eddings Interior Consulting. Her own home is styled so wonderfully with lots of mod + vintage combinations. Her choices of patterns, fabrics, accents and arrangements is just downright inspiring. Check out these awesome photos!

fresh designs
We're still working on our photography skills, but here are a few of our newer custom designs. Each one was created for a specific client with their creative input.
Meggie & John's classic save-the-date photo postcard. How cute are those boots?
Andy & Ruthie's bright and modern rehearsal dinner invitation - perfect for a rockin' Memphis wedding.
And, here is a tiny peek at one of our newest projects (we'll share all the details after the wedding in a few weeks).
A not-so-typical wedding program.

why FRONTIER?
In the beginning of our little Frontier Paper Co. journey, we handed out some make-shift business cards that we felt fine about at the time, but we are so proud and excited to have these beautifully crafted letterpressed business cards now. We've upgraded big time, and we just love the finished product.
People are always asking us why we chose the name "Frontier Paper Company." Well, the answer is pretty simple. Libby and I both gravitate towards designs that are inspired by natural elements and organic color, so we wanted a name that would keep us rooted in our airy, whimsical and laid-back aesthetic. That being said, we are always more than happy to take a tangent toward traditional and simplistic when necessary. We also like that the frontier is the leading edge toward what is new and unexplored. We love scheming up original design concepts and creative details for our paper goods.
So, that's the story. Keep us in mind when you're planning a wedding, styling a party, hosting a shower or doing some gift-giving.

Admiring Steven Alan
I have long been a fan of Steven Alan. The clothes tend to look effortless and complete, but the pieces also meld well with bold jewelry and accessories. With this beautiful spring weather in full force, these pieces are looking mighty fine.
[ from Steven Alan's Spring 2011 Lookbook ]
I'd wear this Lauren Moffat dress in a heartbeat.
Simple & very wearable.

This JW Hulme bag is a perfectly casual-yet-structural go-to for spring and summer.
**Stay tuned this week for some of new Frontier Paper Co. designs.**

Jess Graham Photography
Definitely hop over to the blog of our sweet & oh-so-talented neighbor & friend photographer Jess Barfield. She snapped some amazing photos of Libby & Ben this week. We're just in awe of how she can turn an empty neighborhood lot into a romantic, southern scene. What a beautiful talent!
