a dress to impress + invites to match

How stunning would this be for a wedding dress (with or without the neon belt)? Its a Tibi number that they made in black and lily (this creamy white color), and I just think that it is gorgeous. Even though I really loved the experience of going to a wedding dress shop with my mom and sister, I have loved finding non-wedding wedding dresses to suggest to current brides-to-be.

And, here is a peek at some of the wedding-related invitations that we've been busy creating.

You might have to use your spectacles to notice this on the screen, but don't miss the lovely blind letterpress lattice that we used around the green text for this elegant and simple save-the-date.

LOVEbirds

So, a couple of nights ago, Frontier Paper Co. hosted a little informal dessert party for a few of our neighborhood friends. We were testing our party-styling skills, and we have to admit that everything turned out just as wonderfully as we had imagined it in our minds. We had such a fantastic time with dear friends.

However, one of our main takeaways from this endeavor is that we will definitely enlist the help of a photographer friend next time - please help us! Our novice photo skills just don't do the scene justice.

We had sweet treats and tasty cocktails, but the highlight of the night was a homemade rendition of the Newlywed Game. Such a laughable addition to an evening with couple friends! Just have the girls answer a few funny questions on the back of numbered cards in one room, and the guys do the same with different questions from another room. Here are some basic ideas:

* What is the first movie that you watched together?
* What is the one item of your husband's that you would love to get rid of ASAP?
* What is your husband's dream vacation?
* How does your husband like a hamburger?
* Who is more athletic?
* Who spends more time in front of the mirror?

Basically, when everyone reconvenes in the same room, you ask each question to the other spouse and everyone has a good laugh at the differing answers.

baby love

I can't tell you how glad this spring weather is making me (after what seems like an awfully long run of ice and sub-freezing chills). I hope that you are all enjoying it too. I have a feeling that this is going to be a season of lots of baby announcements, so here are a few cute ones....

Apparently, I love the look the of opaque white on dark {see here}. I just think that this birth announcement is fresh and so appealing.

How pretty is this one! I think that this design would actually translate beautifully into a wedding suite.

I stumbled across a darling-looking website, toast & laurel, and found this simple-but-stylish baby shower invitation:

{ stitch via bird & banner }

I'm sure that you haven't forgotten that this Monday is Valentine's Day. It is easy to get carried away with the hype of it all, but it is absolutely the perfect occasion to make sure that the ones you care about know exactly how much you love them. A simple, sweet note or a thoughtful phone call is really all that it takes.

But, just in case you're in the market for a little present, here are some ideas.

{ lovely garden roses via Central Market }

{ a fun stack of bracelets via Club Monaco }

{ mud pottery in spring-time colors via horne }

{ a whimsical tulip necklace via terrain }

All gift-giving aside, just take the chance to share love and joy with your family, friends & even strangers. Love changes everything.

daytime wedding love

If I were planning a daytime wedding this spring or summer, I would be saving my pennies for this gorgeous Grecian gown. It feels like the perfect combination of bridal fanciness and daytime breeziness. I'd pair it with soft blush tones and a few neutrals to keep it airy. How lovely is this Cynthia Warren Design letterpress invitation? Pretty and sweet with a natural twist.
